Rethinking Drinking
The Rethinking Drinking Web site and booklet have been produced by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), a part of the National Institutes of Health. The content of Rethinking Drinking draws largely from the results of major NIAAA population studies and clinical trials.
Rethinking Drinking is designed for U.S. adults who drink alcohol. Many of these individuals may be unaware that their drinking habits may be putting them at risk for alcohol-related problems. BrainAbouts believes this information can be used for youth prevention education. Because 90% of adults who are diagnosed with an alcohol use disorder began drinking in their teens, Knowing the symptoms of problem drinking early may empower youth to make positive choices and rethink drinking.
